Victorian Young Achiever Awards
Young Victorians contribute enormously to the social and cultural fabric of our state.
Through their skills, creativity, resilience and leadership, young people from different backgrounds, cultures and places are shaping their local communities and having a positive impact.
The Andrews Labor Government wants to create an inclusive society where all young people are empowered to voice their ideas and concerns, are listened to and recognised for their valuable ideas and contributions.
As Patron of the Victorian Young Achiever Awards, I’m proud to celebrate the leadership and achievements of young people who are making a real difference to other people’s lives in Victoria.
In 2017, I am again delighted to sponsor the Victorian Government’s Group Achievement in the Community Award. This award provides an opportunity to acknowledge young people who have collaborated and worked together as a group to improve a service, program or project that supports other young people.
As Minister for Youth Affairs, I encourage Victorians to nominate young people for the 2017 Victorian Young Achiever Awards, so that we can formally recognise and celebrate the positive role that young people play in our state.
