Northern Territory Community Achievement Awards

AANT Road Safety Award
Road accidents have a devastating and lasting impact in our community. Since 1963 the AANT has provided a voice for members and championed safety for all road users. That’s why AANT has introduced the Road Safety Award, which recognises individuals and groups in the community who have, through their dedication and efforts, improved road safety and/or helped reduce road trauma.

There are many in our community who take steps or act tirelessly to ensure the safety of others on the road. Nominations can be made by, or for any person or group to recognise and appreciate genuine and significant efforts to improve road safety or reduce road trauma.

It may be a volunteer driver, a group dedicated to reducing road accidents or someone who has provided support and strategies for better road safety outcomes.  

Open to individuals, groups and organisations.

Awards Australia Small Business Achiever Award
Many individuals have successfully started or are operating their own small businesses or franchise and are making important economic and social contributions to the Northern Territory. Creative business, franchises and commercial ventures provide opportunities for growth, productivity, leadership, training and employment. Many are also giving back to the community or giving others an opportunity. 
Small business owners and operators are rolling up their sleeves, developing and realising their corporate vision and mission. The Awards Australia Small Business Achiever Award promotes those who “give it a go” through determination, innovation, hard work and self-motivation, rewarding those who make their own luck and opportunities a reality.

Inspirational.Australians Podcast Local Legend Award
The Inspirational.Australians Podcast Local Legend Award applauds our high achieving individuals who excel in their profession, chosen field of endeavour, volunteering or community service. These individuals are at the forefront of accomplishment, whether in sport, art, culture, leadership, community service or volunteering, academia or career and are making a real difference in the community. 

The Local Legend Award pays tribute to our talented and dedicated high achievers and community contributors.

Northern Territory PHN Health & Wellbeing Award
The Northern Territory PHN Health and Wellbeing Award will recognise and reward the efforts of individuals, community groups or small business owners within the Territory who are dedicated to improving health and wellbeing in their communities.

The award acknowledges that there are many passionate people who work tirelessly to help others achieve their best health and wellbeing.  It recognises the individuals or organisations leading activities in the community or workplace that contribute to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for others through their actions.

This award is open to individuals, community groups and not-for-profit or for-purpose organisations.

Woolworths Community Group of the Year Award
With a presence across cities, regions and remote areas, Woolworths strives to support and be a part of the communities in which it operates. The Woolworths Community Group of the Year Award recognises groups that share a strong sense of team spirit and play a vital role in enhancing meaningful connections and social wellbeing in their community.

Whether it be working on an event, restoration project, providing a service or program, or any type of community activity, the award will recognise groups who bring people together, providing support and encouraging inclusion for all members of the community. 

It is important to recognise and celebrate these groups, as their efforts help to make strong and vibrant communities, which is a benefit to us all.

Zip Print Sports in the Community Award
This award recognises the important role that sporting initiatives, projects and local sports clubs play in building strong, vibrant and healthy communities.

Through the Sports in the Community Award, Zip Print celebrates and encourages involvement in sports and will recognise grass-roots groups/organisations, clubs, initiatives and programs that are making an impact in their local community.

  • Outline how the sporting club, program or initiative is involving the community and their role in building strong, vibrant and healthy communities.
