Awards Australia Charitable Foundation Local Legend Award

The Awards Australia Local Legend Award applauds our community champion individuals who excel in their profession, chosen field of endeavour, volunteering or community service. These individuals are at the forefront of accomplishment, whether in art, culture, community service, volunteering, academia or career and who are making a real difference in and for the community.

The Local Legend Award pays tribute to our talented and dedicated high achievers and community local legends.

Awards Australia Small Business Award

Many individuals have successfully started or are operating their own small businesses or franchise and are making important economic and social contributions to the Northern Territory. Creative business, franchises and commercial ventures provide opportunities for growth, productivity, leadership, training and employment. Many are also giving back to the community or giving others an opportunity.

 

Small business owners and operators are rolling up their sleeves, developing and realising their corporate vision and mission. The Awards Australia Small Business Achiever Award promotes those who “give it a go” through determination, innovation, hard work and self-motivation, rewarding those who make their own luck and opportunities a reality.

Northern Territory PHN Health and Wellbeing Award

The Northern Territory PHN Health & Wellbeing Award will recognise and reward the efforts of individuals that are volunteers, nurses, health, fitness or rehabilitation professionals, or small business owners within the Territory dedicated to improving community health services and wellbeing.

This Award will encourage innovative and health-focused activities in the community or workplace.

There are many people who are passionate about helping others to understand the importance of nutrition and physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This award is open to individuals, community groups and not-for-profit or for-purpose organisations
  • Describe the nominee and their role in addressing health and wellbeing (e.g. paid role in an organisation, volunteer, part of a group, etc.).

  • What impact is the nominee having in the community or workplace (could be local, or wider community) and who is benefiting?

  • What training has been undertaken or what skills does the nominee possess in health and wellbeing?

NT Government Road Safety Award

The Northern Territory (NT) Government is committed to strengthening road safety education, delivering targeted and appropriate road safety messaging and developing place-based strategies and initiatives to create positive road safety culture across the NT.

The NT Road Safety Award recognises individuals, community groups and not-for-profit organisations who are delivering on these actions through their efforts to improve road safety education and culture, and contribute to reducing road trauma in the NT.

Programs delivered by NT Government agencies are ineligible for this award.

Palmerston GP Super Clinic Improving Health through Connection to Country / Culture Award

This award recognises people or organisations who have contributed to the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of the Northern Territory. 

 

The recipients of this award have implemented culturally appropriate initiatives or programs that have supported and/or built capacity to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by addressing the cultural determinants of health including connection to Country and or Culture.

This award is open to individuals, community groups and not-for-profit or for-purpose organisations.

  • Describe the nominee and their role in developing and implementing culturally appropriate initiatives or programs to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through connection to Country and/or Culture (e.g. paid role in an organisation, volunteer, part of a group, etc.).

  • What impact is the nominee having in the community or workplace (could be local, or wider community) and who is benefiting?

  • What training has been undertaken or what skills does the nominee possess in delivering culturally appropriate initiatives/program?

Zip Print Sports in the Community Award
This award recognises the important role that sporting initiatives, projects and local sports clubs play in building strong, vibrant and healthy communities.

Through the Sports in the Community Award, Zip Print celebrates and encourages involvement in sports and will recognise grass-roots groups/organisations, clubs, initiatives and programs that are making an impact in their local community.

  • Provide a description and history of the sporting club, program or initiative.
  • Outline how the sporting club, program or initiative is involving the community and their role in building strong, vibrant and healthy communities.
  • Provide any testimonials from members of the community who have benefited from involvement (you can include written answers, links or use the ‘Attachments’ section to upload media clippings or other documents).
  • Provide details on both short term and long-term goals for the sporting club, program or initiative and any community consultation.
  • Outline any barriers or obstacles that have been faced.
