QUEENSLAND
Queensland Community Achievement Awards
Queensland’s incredibly vibrant and resilient communities and are built on the contribution of so many people from diverse backgrounds and regions.
As the patron of the Queensland Community Achievement Awards, it is terrific to see individuals, community groups and organisations recognised for their outstanding efforts to support our thriving Queensland communities.
Our communities flourish because of the dedication of these Queenslanders and it is an honour to recognise them through these important awards.
This year’s Queensland Community Achievement Awards are being offered across seven categories including community groups, sporting groups, aged care, business and customer service.
There is also the Community Hero award, which acknowledges an individual who has made a significant contribution to our state.
Queenslanders have been inspiring in their response to the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating a selflessness that has kept our communities safe.
From the 28,500 Queenslanders who signed up as Care Army volunteers to our hard-working community organisations, everyone is working together to get through this incredibly challenging time.
Thanks to the selflessness and contribution of so many Queenslanders, we can all move forward together with more confidence as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.
I look forward to the announcement of this year’s award recipients, and to hearing the stories of the Queenslanders who have inspired us over the past year.
