What Past Participants Say
Winning the MAIB Disability Achievement Award is incredibly meaningful to me as an Autistic disabled advocate. My journey into advocacy grew from facing barriers that many people with disabilities know well, from accessibility challenges to systemic discrimination.
My passion has always been to advance the rights of marginalised communities, and I am grateful for this award and the chance it provides to amplify our community’s voice - especially in a time of rapid change for the disability community.
Heidi La Paglia Reid
2024 MAIB Disability Achievement Award Winner
Recognition can help amplify important stories, celebrate meaningful work, and shine a light on the people creating positive change in their communities.
